Cannot browse network server due to incompatible protocol.
Cause:
The network protocol being used by the server is different from that used by the workstation (client).
Solution:
Double-click the 'Network' icon in the 'Control Panel' window. Click the 'Configuration' tab, and click 'Add...'. Select 'Protocol', and click 'Add...' to add the protocol that the server is using.
NOTE: Before performing this procedure, ask your Network Administrator what protocols are in use on the network.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the Windows 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Network' icon. (The 'Network' dialog box appears.)
4) Click the 'Configuration' tab.
5) Click 'Add...'. (The 'Select Network Component Type' dialog box appears.)
6) Select 'Protocol' from the 'Click the type of network component you want to install' list box.
7) Click 'Add...'. (The 'Select Network Protocol' dialog box appears.)
8) Select 'Microsoft' from the 'Manufacturers' list box. (The network protocols for Microsoft computers appear in the 'Network Protocols' list box.)
9) Select a network protocol that is installed on the server from the 'Network Protocols' list box.

10) Click 'OK'.
11) Insert the Windows 95 installation diskette or CD-ROM when prompted. (The required files are copied from the Windows 95 CD-ROM, and the 'System Settings' dialog box appears, prompting you to restart your computer to enable the new settings.)
CAUTION: To prevent data loss, save all open files, and exit all applications before restarting.
12) Click 'Yes' to restart the computer and enable the new settings.
